The Anchoring is a news reader that personalizes your feed depending on your interests. The utility is account based and comes with companion apps for iPhone and iPad so that you can access the stream on all your devices.

Right off the bat, The Anchoring prompts you for your credentials: you can either login with an existing account, or create a new user free of charge.

The next step is to select the areas that interest you: cars, culture, entertainment, fashion, gaming, issues, politics, space, sports, startups, or technology.

Within the app’s main window, you get to select the collections you want to follow, such as Hillary2016, Obama, Kanye, and so on. The collections are created and curated by the service, so you might find new subjects added periodically.

Note that, even though the list of subjects is quite limited, The Anchoring does not provide support for adding custom feeds. In fact, all the articles delivered within The Anchoring app are chosen by the service.

The Anchoring offers you the possibility to view only short or long reads and puts pieces that you might find interesting in the Just For You listing: this way you can find them faster, whenever you have the time to read.

The Anchoring allows you to specify if you like or dislike an article, and the utility will take your specifications into account when personalizing your feed. Naturally, you can also open the article in your default web browser, or share it on social media (Facebook and Twitter).

Bottom line, The Anchoring presents a beautiful space where you can read articles on various themes but keep in mind that you cannot use the app for other feeds except the ones delivered by the associated service.

However, you do get to personalize The Anchoring's feed by specifying your areas of interest, the collections you want to follow, or the articles that you have enjoyed or disliked.
