Modern web browser for your PowerPC based Mac
TenFourFox uses the industry standard Mozilla Firefox browser and rewrite it in order to make it compatible with Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.5. Moreover, the code is specially optimized for your G3, G4 or G5 Mac.
In other words, TenFourFox is a port Mozilla Firefox for PowerPC based Macintosh computers that run older versions of OS X which are still compatible with the older architecture.
Just like Firefox, TenFourFox includes compatibility with a wide range of add-ons, HMTL 5 and CSS 3 features, Acid2 and Acid3 compliance and more.

However, the compatibility with older operating systems has led to the loss of entire features sets provided by the modern versions of Firefox. Consequently, TenFourFox does not fully support Core Text and it is not capable to understand Apple Advanced Typography features in various international fonts.
Moreover, TenFourFox does not feature support for graphics acceleration for compositing and it does not support WebGL.
The intuitive interface makes it easy to browse the web
On the bright side, TenFourFox’s interface borrows multiple visual elements from Firefox, fact that translates into an easy-to-use web browser. Thus, you can open and handle multiple tabs, bookmark pages and do almost anything you would do while using a modern browser.
To use TenFourFox, you just have to download the appropriate archive and extract the application to a location of your choice, preferably in your Applications folder.
