Browsing large bookmarks databases in Safari can be time consuming because there are no sorting options. Granted, the Bookmarks tab comes with a search bar, but if that is not enough for you, the SafariSort Mac app can help you improve your overall experience.

SafariSort offers you the possibility to quickly sort the bookmarks and folders alphabetically, regardless of the entry type. At the same time, the app is also able to put the folders firsts in the list.

SafariSort is a standalone application that analyses your Safari bookmarks folder, allows you to make the necessary adjustments regarding the sorting mode, and then takes care of the rest on its own.

When the procedure is over, you will simply receive a notification message and then you will be directed to the developer’s website (the page opens automatically in your default web browser).

The next step is to launch Safari (the utility will automatically close the web browser to be able to process the URLs) and navigate to the Bookmarks window: the entries will be sorted according to your specifications.
