Secure Pipes for Mac
Mac OS X comes with pre-installed SSH binaries and the Secure Pipes minimalist Mac app uses them to effortlessly establish secure client to server connections. The app comes as a status bar menu utility, which means that it will not disrupt your work, while keeping all your connections close at hand.
Uncomplicated SSH manager that can handle various connections
Working with Secure Pipes proves to be quite intuitive: via the status bar menu you get to open the Preferences window and define all your connections. Secure Pipes allows you to create local forward, remote forward, and SOCKS proxy connections.
Once defined, each connection will be listed in the Secure Pipes menu, and you can activate any of them with a simple mouse click. This way, after the initial setup, the user interaction is reduced to a minimum.
Effortlessly establish local and remote SSH connections
Secure Pipes offers you the possibility to open communication ports in order to bypass certain limitations imposed by the network configuration or by the service provider. At the same time, you can also setup secure server and client connections without having to deal with complicated configurations.
Furthermore, Secure Pipes allows you to create and manage SOCKS proxy servers in order to secure your communications. Creating these secure tunnels is extremely important if you want to keep your data safe, while accessing the internet through unfamiliar or unprotected networks.
