Secure FTP Wrapper is a Java-based program designed to easily make your existing FTP server a secure FTP server. In this release the Wrapper allows for a 256-bit encrypted Secure Sockets Layer, or SSL/TLS, connection to be made to your FTP server which protects both the control channel (username/password) and the data channel (your information).

This version of the Wrapper supports both explicit and implicit SSL connections. This behavior not only brings the Wrapper up-to-date, but it also allows the Wrapper to work with even more secure FTP clients.

Secure FTP Wrapper is our best version ever. Some of the major improvements include: virtual hosting, a more complete configuration manager, IP-based ACL control, limited EPSV support, better certificate support, Mode Z (zip compression during data transfer), and CCC (clear command channel) support.

The Wrapper is supported on MacOS X, Windows and any Unix platform where a Java 2 runtime environment (version 1.4 or later) is installed.

Secure FTP Wrapper is the first solution that provides SSL-based data encryption and still allows you the option to pick the FTP server of your choice. The Wrapper is easier to setup, maintain, and since it is written in Java it is inherently more secure (no exploitable buffer overruns).

Since crypto is present in this product, US export restrictions are in effect. If you reside in an embargoed country you will not be allowed to use this product.

Requirements:

· Sun Microsystems' Java Runtime 2 1.4 or later.
· 5 MB of disk space or higher.
· 256 MB of RAM or higher.
· 500 MHz processor or higher.

Limitations:

· 30 days trial period.
