Rdio for Mac
Rdio is an online music service that enables you to listen to a large collection of audio tracks (over 25 million songs), regardless of the music style, or the device you are using. To get started, you must create a Rdio account which is available for a small monthly fee. However, note that the service is available only in 60 countries around the world.
Effortlessly access the Rdio music service from a minimalist desktop client
The Rdio Mac app enables you to connect to your Rdio account and take advantage of everything it has to offer without cluttering your web browser (you can also access the service through a web console).
For your convenience, the Rdio main window can stay on top of all other windows, in all spaces: this way you will have access to your playlist at all times, without having to interrupt your work.
Control your playlist using keyboard shortcuts or switch to the mini player view
To integrate better with your desktop, and to avoid wasting space, Rdio also provides a mini player mode that includes basic functionalities: you can play or pause the track, see its details, adjust the volume, or skip to the next or previous entry.
Moreover, the Rdio app also provides a collection of hotkeys for the same functionalities: the space bar for the play / pause buttons, the arrow keys to navigate the playlist tracks, and the Command + Up /Down arrow keys combination to adjust the volume. In addition, you can view a list of upcoming songs (Command + U), or the current location (Command + L).
Uncomplicated and user friendly desktop client for the Rdio music service
The Rdio app is a great tool to have around if you are using the Rdio music service and you want to listen to your playlists without having to clutter your browser, or interrupt your daily activities.
