Ramme For Mac

Ramme is an unofficial Instagram desktop client that has been built on the Electron open-source framework. The project delivers companion apps for all the popular operating systems: Mac, Windows, and Linux.

The Ramme utility does not feature all the functions you get on the mobile side, but it can still be successfully used to browse your feed, manage your account, and share comments.

Right off the bat, Ramme prompts you for Instagram credentials which you need to provide to access the image sharing platform. Note that you can either register for a separate Instagram account or just connect with your Facebook credentials.

Within the Ramme main window, you get to navigate to your home feed, make use of the search tool to find specific accounts, see the list of favorited entries, or view and edit your Instagram profile.

Ramme features a rather intuitive workflow that should not raise any particular problems: navigate between the respective tabs by using your mouse, and use the Back button if you want to loose where you left off in the feed.

Ramme offers you the possibility to interact with posts just like you would do on the web platform: you can view the image, share your opinions, favorite the picture, or generate the embed code necessary to share the link with others.

Moreover, you have the option to see your profile and all the images that you have uploaded to the sharing service. You can also change the account’s name and username, the associated website, or the short biography.

You get to modify the private information (email address, phone number, or gender) and decide if you want your account to be included when recommending similar accounts to other users.

Bottom line, Ramme delivers a simple solution to accessing the Instagram service on the desktop side, without resorting to a web browser.

The Ramme app features a beautiful design (it even includes a Dark mode) and offers you the option to deal with most tasks by using keyboard combinations (navigate to the View menu to see all the options).
