QupZilla is a web browser that provides access to basic tools required for online browsing, but also integrates a couple of functions designed to improve your overall experience. The application is using the Apple WebKit, comes with WebGL support, and is able to import bookmarks from other browsers.
Finding your way around QupZilla is a fairly easy because the application is organized like any other web browser: you can open multiple tabs, the top area displays the address bar while the main window is reserved for viewing the webpages content, you can easily set up bookmarks and so on.
By default, QupZilla is using the DuckDuckGo search engine, but you can easily switch to any other predefined service, or add your own. Noteworthy is that on the bottom right corner of the window you can easily visualize the IP address for the current website and manage the AdBlock settings.
When opening a new page, QupZilla displays the Speed Dial panel that enables you to quickly open your favorite websites. You can easily add new entries or personalize the panel’s appearance.
The QupZilla address bar includes icons that can be used to quickly add the current webpage to your bookmarks database or to send a RSS feed to the reader. Unfortunately, QupZilla does not recognize all the feeds available on a webpage.
QupZilla provides cookies management functions (you can choose to automatically delete all cookies when you close the browser), and provides support for private sessions.
QupZilla can be a nice alternative to other web browsing utilities whenever you need to quickly open various websites without having to deal with ads, or perform searches by using custom engines.
