Pullover For Mac

The Pushover service offers you the possibility to receive real-time alerts from various apps or web services on your mobile devices. Pullover is a desktop client for the service that enables you to view the alerts on your Mac, via the Notification Center.

To start using the Pullover application, you must begin by providing your Pushover credentials. Note that the Pushover service is subscription based, but you can register free of charge for a trial account.

The next step is to set up a name for the current device: you have to do this only once, and the device will be included in your Pushover devices list.

Pullover works in the background, but it comes with a small status bar menulet that enables you to access its status window and allows you to quit the utility altogether. For your convenience, via the Pullover Settings window you get to choose to run the app on startup.

Once everything is in place, Pullover starts monitoring your Pushover account and automatically synchronizes with the cloud once every few seconds. As a result, you will be able to see the notification alerts in real time.

Pullover will include in the alert message the icon of the notifying app to help you identify the source a lot faster. If you click with your mouse on the notification panel, Pullover will automatically launch the URL associated with the message in your default web browser.

Pullover offers you the possibility to see the alerts within windows that are placed in the bottom right corner of your screen. Within the Pullover Settings window, you can also adjust the display time for these windows.
