Pronto Patent is a streamlined OS X application designed to help its users to search the United States Patent and Trademark Office website for patents and applications, and download them with a simple mouse click.

As soon as you start the Pronto Patent application, you can start downloading USPTO entries by entering their ID in the left side panel and clicking the middle placed Download button.

Pronto Patent does a quick job grabbing the applications and patents you select and, according to your preferences, it can be used to download the full documents (with full text and images) or just the first page.

Moreover, Pronto Patent will download the documents in full as HTML files and as multi-page PDFs, ready to be indexed or printed using 3rd party applications. From the Preferences window, you can set Pronto Patent to download a maximum number of pages per session to avoid being blocked by the USPTO website.

The Preferences window will also enable you to quickly setup the prefixes to be used when naming the downloaded patents and applications, using trailing spaces if needed.

What’s more, Pronto Patent features a highly customizable search utility which makes it very simple and fast to find any patent using two different terms that could be used in tandem or in order to focus the search on a limited area of interest.

Although it downloads all the documents you search for very rapidly, Pronto Patent could use a built-in manager for storing previous searches, as well as the means to organize the downloaded patents for later reference.
