Ping Fire is a Firefox extension that simplifies your work of  posting messages to Ping.fm.

Post to Ping.fm from FireFox. Supports all of Ping's contents types, your custom triggers, as well as Ping's posting shortcuts. It also includes a "Quote" feature which post the selected text and the URL to Ping.

Here are some key features of "PingFire":

· Supports all of Ping's content types.
· Supports your own custom triggers.
· Supports posting shortcuts. Such as @tt for Twitter and @fb for Facebook.
· The PingFire extension can be accessed from anywhere on the web.
· Quoting. Simply select something on a webpage you're reading and click the "Ping" button. The selected text and the current URL will be added to your message.

· Firefox 3.0 to 3.6.*

· Bit.ly Integration. You can now link your Bit.ly account to Ping Fire. If you choose not to use Bit.ly, TinyURL is still supported.
· There is also a preference to control whether the shortened URL is added to your Bit.ly history.
· Support for Multiple Ping.fm Accounts.
· Smoother install. When Ping Fire is first installed and after it is updated, your settings will be checked for validity.
· # Option to automatically add the "Ping" button to the toolbar. This is a user-preference. If you would like to add the button to the toolbar on your own, you're welcome to do so.
