Gmail Compose 1.6

Gmail Compose is a simple extension that quickly understands when you click on a e-mial address link and opens it in a new composing window.

In short, the Gmail Compose add-on associates the mailto links found in the current web page with a Gmail composing window.

So, when you left-click on a mailto link the add-on will open a Gmail compose page with the form fields filled in with the corresponding data retrieve from the link.
