Lightning helps you schedule and organize important events in a well-designed calendar that seamlessly integrates with your Thunderbird or SeaMonkey email.

Using Lightning, you can effortlessly handle multiple calendars, prepare your daily tasks list, invite contacts to events and even subscribe to public calendars.

Lightning features a simple and user-oriented interface designed from the get-go for simple calendar synchronization, and to rapidly add and edit events and tasks.

On top of that, Lightning offers you the option to create and use multiple calendars that you can quickly access from the left side panel.

At the same time, the right side panel helps you view a list with all your complete and pending tasks. In the main panel you can view the upcoming events in a daily, weekly or monthly view. Thanks to the built-in search form you can find any given event with just a few keystrokes.

In addition to the standard information that you can attach to an event, you also have the option to setup reminders and write a short or detailed description.

You can invite attendees, attach files and change the privacy settings. All reminders can be snoozed for a given period of time or dismissed entirely.

The best part about Lightning is that it can also be used as a task manager that provides the necessary tools and features to keep track of your daily tasks. As expected, all tasks can be easily scheduled and previewed from the Tasks tab.

Lightning allows you to filter the list of displayed tasks by showing only the tasks for the current day, for the next seven day or by displaying only overdue, completed, incomplete or not started tasks.

Moreover, for better management, you can also change the task progress and assign different priority levels via the contextual menu.
