Mobile Buddy For Mac

Mobile Buddy is a streamlined and easy to use cross-platform application that makes it possible for you to connect your iOS or Android smartphone to your Mac via the same local area network and to use it as a remote mouse and keyboard controller.

In order to take advantage of Mobile Buddy’s capabilities, you must first install both the server app on your Mac and the Mouse Kit mobile app on your smartphone, as well as make sure that both devices are connected to the same LAN.

Once you start the application, the server runs in the background and a small item will appear in the OS X status bar. Mobile Buddy’s interface is as straightforward as they get, with a single and small main window that only displays information about the server IP and the port number.

In order for the connection between your mobile device and your Mac to be established, you must also manually configure the Mouse Kit app on your smartphone to use the IP address of your Mac as the server and the same port number as shown in Mobile Buddy’s window.

Once both applications are connected, they make up a fantastic team with useful real-life applications such as using your smartphone as a wireless mouse for presentations, or as a Mac controller (lock/unlock, switch desktop screen modes, play or pause movies with comfort provided by your phone’s mobility and ease of use).
