editor's review

Mixlr is a powerful and versatile Mac OS X utility specially designed to offer you a simple and easy way to record, broadcast and share your music playlists or mixes.

Thanks to Mixlr you can effortlessly broadcast using the desired audio source and invite friends, family and other users to listen to your music and interact with them in real-time. You can use up to three different channels and easily mix between them.

You can connect Mixlr to any audio source and use your Mac’s built-in microphone or add an external one in order to talk to your audience. Mixlr also features a built-in playlist that enables you to load multiple audio files that you can rearrange according to your liking.

From Mixlr’s main window you can setup all three sources, adjust their volume and track the number of listeners, likes and comments. In order to use iTunes as a sound source you should download and install Soundflower from our website for free.

To monitor your broadcast you can use your Mac’s internal speakers or connect your headphones. By accessing the Settings tab, you can easily name your Mixlr live profile, select the music genre you are broadcasting, enable or disable the recording and test feature and start or stop your broadcast at any time.

What is more, you can use the Share tab to access your live profile link or share it with your friends, family and other users via Facebook, Twitter or Email. The Mixlr Recordings window helps you view all your recordings and allows you to publish your mix on your Mixlr page from where you can easily export your broadcast to SoundCloud, Dropbox, Audioboo or Mixcloud.

In conclusion, Mixlr is user-friendly audio broadcaster and recorder that enables you to create your own radio station and share your favorite songs and mixes using various services and social networking websites.
