MapleTasks is a streamlined and user-friendly OS X application that aims to provide you with comprehensive organization capabilities, so you can easily manage your projects or collaborative projects.
Basically, with MapleTasks you will be able to view and manage all your tasks from under one single roof. Because MapleTasks is a cloud based app, you can rest assured that all your projects and important tasks will always be both securely stored and easily accessible at all times.
Before you can actually use the application though, you will need to undergo two procedures: firstly, you will need to register a MapleTasks account, and then login with your credentials.
Upon first logging in, you will soon discover that you still can’t fully use this app, so far. You will have to undergo a second procedure and log in with your MapleTasks credentials on the app’s website and create a new Group.
Once the group has been created, things tend to follow a very intuitive path and you can start managing and adding projects and tasks directly from your Mac’s desktop.
The interface is exactly as you would expect from an OS X app, with clear-cut controls and intuitive layout. Speaking of the interface, the MapleTasks app provides you with an even quicker way to add tasks, so you don’t have disrupt your workflow.
By either configuring a global keyboard shortcut or by simply clicking the app’s status bar icon, you will be greeted by a compact interface that enables you to quickly add new tasks.
While MapleTasks is a long way from being a bad app, there is one problem with it: the application doesn’t enable you to add groups, or to delete projects for that matter, directly from its interface, therefore, it forces you to split some of your work between your Mac’s desktop and a web-based interface.
As a conclusion, MapleTasks is a user-friendly application for task management, but because it doesn’t provide you with full control over your MapleTask account directly from the desktop interface, it isn’t what you would call very efficient.
