Kadu - the revolution in the IM world started

Kadu project was started in 2001 as a simple KDE API try-out. Eventually, it became the most popular Gadu-Gadu client for Linux and other Unices (and MacOS X).
Kadu depends on Qt library version 3.x.

Starting with version 0.3.3 it doesn't require the KDE libraries and can be used with other window managers. Kadu supports Gnome and Window Maker as well. The core of Kadu is the libgadu library (its role being handling the network layer).

· configurable toolbars - it is possible to add and remove toolbars in main window, search window, chat window and to add new tool buttons in their areas that gives you the ability to easily configure set of most required "actions"
· new default set of emoticons on free licence
· possibility to change chat window appearance - several styles are available and you can also design your own (but you should remember about limits of Qt in HTML rendering)
· possibility to put a picture as a contact list background (in chat window also, but it is an experimental feature)
