InsertPic For Mac

InsertPic is a user-friendly OS X application that can work with any text box enabled application system-wide.

The utility allows you to search for animated images on the Giphy.com website and then enables you to paste the URL, the markdown version, or the actual file in the currently selected text box.

InsertPic comes with a simple search panel that can be enabled via the status bar menulet or by using the Shift + Command + I hotkeys. Just input a keyword for your query and InsertPic will display thumbnails for the results.

You can navigate the results list by pressing the tab key or by using the arrow keys. Depending on the last used app, InsertPic generates a button that can send either the URL or the actual image to that utility.

However, you can also do that by using various hotkeys, such as Shift + Enter for pasting the URL, or Option + Shift + Enter for creating a markdown, GitHub friendly version.

To see the complete list of supported keyboard combinations make sure to navigate to the about panel. Nonetheless, you only have the option to memorize them because InsertPic does not allow you to personalize them.

InsertPic will also place the URL or the image file on your clipboard, so you can also paste it to other locations without having to go through the same procedure.

Reaction GIFs are all about speed, so being able to search, find, and share animated images with quick keyboard commands will certainly step up your game.

On the downside, these hotkeys cannot be modified, so you will have to memorize them, or reassign their purpose in case you were using them for something else.
