FlareGet For Mac

FlareGet is an easy to use yet efficient download manager and accelerator that enables you to swiftly download files from the internet.

With user-friendliness in mind, FlareGet’s interface is represented by a simple top toolbar, a Categories panel on the left side of the main window, and a download panel in the middle.

Most of FlareGet’s main functions (add URL, resume, pause, cancel, cancel all, etc) can be accessed either from the top toolbar,  or from the Action menu. Once FlareGet is opened, you can also add URLs or YouTube URLs from its status bar menu.

As is the case of most download accelerators, FlareGet uses a dynamic file segmentation algorithm that splits your downloads into segments, thus, speeding up the whole download process.

Also expected is the fact that FlareGet comes with support for HTTP, HTTPS, and FTP protocols as well as with support for Metalink. A worth mentioning feature is the fact that FlareGet  bundles batch download support, so you can simply import more than one URL (each URL has to be in a separate line) and the app will take care of the rest.

What’s more FlareGet enables you to limit the number of concomitant downloads, to limit the download speed, to download YouTube videos in various formats, as well as to schedule automatic downloads for when you’re away from your Mac.

Other plus points are represented by FlareGet’s ability to automatically retry to download files in case of failure, as well as the fact that it supports segmented download of files from multiple mirror sites, and, of course, the segments can be added or removed without interrupting the download.

Last but not least, FlareGet bundles clipboard monitoring which makes it very easy for you to load download links into its interface so you don’t gave to manually paste them.
