Canadian Weather is a a simple weather add-on for Firefox that lets you quickly check the forecasts with a click on the yellow icon installed in the statusbar.
The Options panel has four tabs:
Location tab
Select the site you wish to monitor for weather. When you click on an entry in the region box, the location box beside it fills with the locations for just that region. Once you have your location chosen, click the second tab.
Display tab
Here you can select what will appear in your toolbar, The next checkbox, "Show all current conditions and forecast via left-click on toolbar", if ticked, will show you just about everything you could want in another (Conditions) panel: current conditions, weather warnings issued by EC, and the 7-day forecast.
The next two checkboxes relate to weather watches/warnings. Although they appear in the Conditions panel just mentioned, you may also want to be automatically alerted by a seperate panel that displays when a weather watch or warning is detected.
You can also limit the appearance of this panel to one time per alert. Otherwise you may see the same alert again when the add-on checks for updates. And the next tab.
Style tab
You can choose bold and/or italic font properties for your toolbar display. You can also set the text and background colors to be used during weather watches/warnings.
Canadian Weather is cross-platform and it works on Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.
