EverMail For Mac

EverMail is a small yet handy OS X application that makes it possible for you to effortlessly to convert received emails in Apple’s Mail app into notes in your Evernote account with just a few clicks and in no time what so ever.

In order to start EverMail, you will first need to close the Mail.app and proceed with a fairly simple and fast installation process and, as expected, use your Evernote account to log in.

The later can be easily achieved by opening the Mail app’s Preferences menu, clicking the newly added EverMail tab from the right side, enabling EverMail by clicking the switch-button and by entering your Evernote credentials.

Once these steps have been completed, EverMail will make its presence known inside the Mail app  by displaying a small “Evernote” button on the upper right corner of the window. Working with the application doesn’t require any kind of effort, as you only have to select the mail, click the “Evernote” button and select “Create note”.

This action will lead you to a new window that makes it possible for you to convert your mail into Evernote notes. Within this window, you can choose the output location for your e-mail in Evernote, rename the email, apply reminders, as well as add tags for a better all-round organization.

Once your emails are safely stored as notes, you can easily access them within Evernote by clicking the same elephant-shaped button from the upper right corner of the Mail’s app interface and selecting the open Evernote option.

Of course, the EverMail application does offer you some customization options: you can set it to show dialogs for quick notes, to add attachments for quick notes, to always add “EverMail” tag, to add email headers, to add email as attachments to note, etc.

To conclude, EverMail has proved itself to be an efficient and useful application for those who work on a daily basis with both OS X’s native Mail app and with the Evernote service.
