ESPN Cricinfo is a Google Chrome and Firefox extension that displays the latest cricket news and live scores in a pop-up. If you want to know more click on the link placed on the bottom of the pop-up.
Alternatively, you can choose to be notified by a Desktop Notification alert. Also, you can enable desktop notifications from the Options page.
ESPN Cricinfo is cross-platform and it works on Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.
