DragIt is a Firefox add-on that allows you to search the web, save text and images to user-defined folders, open links in tabs or with external applications and more by using mouse gestures.
Simply drag an object and drag it up, down, left or right and run the assigned action.
Moreover, text selections, links, images, addons and extern objects have there own respective set of configurable actions.
DragIt is cross-platform and it works on Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.
