Using a search engine is both fast and efficient when looking for fairly common information, but a research assistant such as DEVONagent will certainly improve your results when dealing with more complex subjects.

DEVONagent enables you to perform queries on multiple websites at the same time, and displays the information in an organized manner. The app also enables you to apply different filters in order to further refine the search results.

To start using the  application, you must input the search criteria, and then select the website that will be queried via a simple drop down menu.

The  utility provides support for most popular search engines, but it will first download and filter the results for each query before showing them to the user.

DEVONagent comes with multiple search sets that enable you to quickly perform the same query on multiple websites at the same time.

Even though you can create new search plug-ins (add new websites to the search list), you do not have the possibility to create new search sets, or customize the predefined ones.

Once DEVONagent performs the search, the app displays the results in list form, but also provides a Digest version, and an error log. Moreover, in the Settings tab of each inquiry, you can set up a secondary query, decide if you want to follow links, or if you want to filter similar or archived pages.

The application also enables you to preview and browse web pages without leaving its interface, but you also have the option to quickly send the URLs to your default web browser.

You can download the pages on your disk, or you can save the query as a DEVONagent project, and resume the analysis at a later time.
