ClipGrab For Mac

Watching videos online if you have a slow internet connection can prove to be quite a challenge: ClipGrab is a streamlined Mac app that enables you to bypass this issue by downloading the video content to your disk.

ClipGrab is able to transfer content available on YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, Metacafe, Youku, MySpass.de, MyVideo.de, or Clipfish.de. The video that be downloaded in HD or in standard definition format.

For your convenience, ClipGrab also comes with a built in search tool for YouTube: once you find the video you want, click on its thumbnail, and the link will be automatically transferred to the Downloads panel.

Before downloading, ClipGrab enables you to specify what file format you want for the output: original, MPEG4, MP3, WMV, OGG Vorbis, or OGG Theora. This way, you can make sure the video will be compatible with your device from the start. Note that you can also switch between different quality levels.

Other customization options include the possibility to change the output location, to decide if you want to include metadata in MP3 files, to setup proxies for downloading, or to adjust the completion notifications rules.
