Bloom For Mac

Bloom is a cross-platform application developed on the Java platform which enables you to manipulate your Facebook photo albums in a streamlined manner.

The Bloom app connects to your Facebook account and allows you to handle both the download and the upload processes without going through your web browser.

For your convenience, Bloom comes with a package installer, which means that all you have to do is follow the on-screen instructions and provides the password for the computer’s admin account when prompted: the utility will be placed in your Applications directory.

The next step is to connect to your Facebook account by pressing the Login button and providing your credentials. This step is required if you want to be able to upload or download albums, or to preview your friends photos.

Finding your way around the Bloom application is fairly intuitive: in the main area you can preview the image’s thumbnails, while small buttons with self explanatory names placed on the sides allow you to manage your albums.

Note that, when creating a new album, you can include additional information, such as the location where you took the picture, a small album description, or photo captions.

What’s more, you also have the option to adjust the privacy settings: the photos can be seen only by your friends, by friends of friends, by everyone, by the network, or only by you.

On the whole, Bloom tries to give a helping hand to people that are using their Facebook accounts to share large photo albums. More importantly, the utility handles both the upload and download processes, helps you add captions to your pictures a lot faster, and a lot more.
