AirStream For Mac

AirStream is the desktop computer client for the mobile phone application with the same name. The pair of apps is designed to help you seamlessly stream media files from your Mac, Windows PC or Linux computer to your Android device over the same Wi-Fi network.

In other words, AirStream allows you to access your computer’s file system from your Android device. You can browse any volume, folders, subfolders and files, as well as play video and music and view photos.

The 2 applications can communicate with each other through a created account or with no login credentials at all. Thus, AirStream on your phone can automatically detect the computers in your Wi-Fi network and lets you choose the one you want to connect to.

Documents that cannot be opened with AirStream can be easily copied to your device. Also, the video, audio and image files that can be viewed with AirStream are limited by number of formats your Android device supports.

The AirStream desktop client features a menu bar panel where you can open a window for blocking certain files and folders and for logging out of your AirStream account.

Thus, you have an option to select the files and folders you do not want to be accessed on your phone. From the AirStream PC Suite window, you can click on “+” and “-” buttons to add or remove items.
