Active Users For Mac

The Google Analytics service offers you the possibility to visualize a wide range of relevant traffic statistics related to your website’s traffic. Active Users is a small Mac app that can extract info related to the number of currently active users, and displays the information in your status bar.

To start using the Active Users menu bar app, you must login with your Google account beforehand, and authorize the app to work with your Google Analytics account. The application will automatically extract information about the real time traffic on all your websites and then quickly displays the data in the menu.

Note that you can see the active users for each website separately, or you can visualize the total number for all associated websites. You can decide if you want to see the counter in the status bar icon or not.

Within the Active Users menu, each website comes with a small panel that includes details about each user, and a map depicting the traffic.

Via the Active Users Preferences window you get to enables the auto-adjust function for the map regions, and adjust the refresh rate for the menu bar, for the dashboard, or for the in-menu metrics.

Active Users also provides access to the Traffic Source Pins dashboard that enables you to understand how users found your website. The app is using different icons for popular services, which makes the real-time representation very easy to read and analyze.
