Adding watermarks to your photos is highly advisable if you want to protect your author rights, but dealing with large image collections can prove to be time-consuming.

photosize is a small yet efficient OS X utility that can import numerous photos at the same time, and then allows you to batch resize and watermark the images. Noteworthy is that photosize can apply only text watermarks.

To add new images for processing, you can go through the Finder menu, or you can drag and drop the files on top of the app’s main window. photosize can work with JPG, PNG, GIF, and TIFF files, and can export the processed images to the JPG and PNG formats.

In the app’s main window, you can view thumbnails for each imported photo, but you can also preview the changes made by your adjustments in real time. In the center area, you can observe the photo’s actual size and the appearance of the text watermark.

When it comes to the text watermark, photosize includes all the essential options for this type of task: you can input the text content, change the font style and size, adjust the watermark’s position, and so on.

When it comes to exporting the results, you can adjust the image quality if your are going for JPG files, add suffixes to the file’s names, or integrate a numbering scheme.

Photosize is an intuitive app that can be successfully handled even by inexperienced users, but keep in mind that it comes with limited functionality. You cannot add image watermarks, you cannot define your own resizing presets, and can work only with very popular file formats.
