XnConvert For Mac

XnConvert is an image processor that can open a multitude of image formats and allows you to convert them to almost any other format. Since the app includes batch processing capabilities, the procedure is quite streamlined.

Finding your way around the app is quite easy because all the processing tools are grouped into specific tabs: you start by importing the images you want to process, then you get to specify the actions you want to perform, while in the end you must choose an output location, define naming patterns, and so on.

XnConvert also allows you to monitor the conversion status, while in the Settings tab you have the option to decide if the actions list should be saved at exiting, or if the photos should be rotated according to the EXIF medatada. The same area enables you to customize the default parameters for the Camera RAW, PS/PDF, OpenEXR, HDRI, RAW, and PCD formats.

Within the Actions window, you can choose to add various effects to your images by selecting the appropriate action from a drop-down menu. To check if your choice is correct, in the Preview area, you can visualize the processed image before and after the effect is applied.

The capabilities range from editing metadata to making basic transformations, such as cropping and resizing the image. At the same time, you get to adjust the contract, brightness, and saturation levels, to apply image filters and other types of effects.
