Sigma is a Japanese company known for producing high-quality digital cameras and accessories. Like many other digital camera manufacturers, the company uses its own RAW file formats to store image data, namely DNG, X3F, and X3I. These formats aren’t supported by many image processing applications, which can make editing difficult.

Sigma Photo Pro is the manufacturer’s in-house software specially designed to help users manipulate RAW image data and get the most out of their photos. It allows users to customize various image parameters, similar to what can be done in all other RAW editors.

Once you fire up the app, you’ll be greeted with a rather simple user interface. The left-hand sidebar contains a file system browser, which you can use to navigate to the location of your images. Once the containing folder is selected, the files can be previewed on the right. Filtering and sorting options are available.

There are multiple viewing modes to choose from, the zoom level is customizable, and buttons are available in the toolbar for performing simple image manipulation, such as rotating or flipping. You can view the image’s metadata, and in-depth RAW file modification is performed through the editing window.
