Pixel Winch For Mac

Pixel Winch is a straightforward screen measurement application specially designed to help you take screenshots and measure the distance in pixels between various points.

The lightweight and unobtrusive application quietly runs in the background and enables you to access and use its tools and features from its status bar menu.

Consequently, you can capture a new selection or browse through your previously captured screenshots with just a couple of mouse clicks.

Pixel Winch’s interface is clean and uncluttered without complex controls or resource consuming tools that you might not need at all times.

To start using Pixel Winch you just have to take a screenshot using the app and load it within Pixel Winch’s editing window. The top and left side border also act as rulers and all featured tools and features are present in the top toolbar.

As follows, you can use the Rectangle and Line tools to draw over the areas you need to measure and use the selection tool to move any drawn shape within your screenshot. Thanks to the grapple tool you can measure the distance between to vertical or horizontal points.

Thanks to the top toolbar you also have the possibility to adjust the tolerance of the measurements and zoom in or out your screenshots.

By accessing the Preferences window, you have the option to multiply the measurements by any supported value, change the measurement format, display the taken screen shot on the desired display and delete your screenshots after a given period of time.

The Colors tab under the Preferences window helps you change the colors of the guide and measurement lines, as well as the border and fill of the rectangle tool. On top of that you can assign new keyboard shortcuts for “Capture selection” and “Show screenshots”.
