Photo Lab FX is a handy Mac OS X application which enables you to create beautiful paintings and adjust or apply various effects to your pictures. The app provides tools for color blending, filtering, adjusting and modifying images while viewing the results in realtime.
The user interface of Photo Lab FX includes a top toolbar with access to commonly used actions, a panel to the right for accessing the photo drawing toolbox and photo processing options and, of course, the main area for viewing pictures or comparing the original with the processed image.
Photo Lab FX supports a variety of actions and tools you would normally expect from a photo app: undo / redo, zoom in / out, brush tools, effects, rotation, shapes, filters, text, color adjustment, sharing options and more. All these tools can be easily accessed via the toolbox pane on the right.
You can create new drawings, sketches or paintings from scratch or just open and edit existing images. You can add various effects, such as sharpen, smudge, blur, dodge or color tint. Moreover, brushes can be customized by changing the diameter, shape, opacity and softness.
Additionally to this, the Photo Lab FX package allows you to embellish your photos with numerous blending modes, distortion effects, transitions, gradients, halftone effects, tile effects, stylish effects and more.
Photo Lab FX might prove to be very helpful if you need a tool to edit pictures in a specific way. The user interface seems fairly easy-to-use, too. As always, read the user reviews and decide for yourself whether an app is worth purchasing or not.
