PicGIF for Mac
GIF animations can be used to convey ideas in a compressed manner: for example, you can combine various photos in order to relate a vacation story in a a matter of seconds. PicGIF is a Mac app designed to help you deal with the “technical” details.
PicGIF is able to import your own photos collections or it can extract slides from a video file. The app is able to work with all sorts of image files, such as JPEG, TIFF, BMP, PNG, TGA, RAW, PIC and more.
At the same time, PicGIF provides support for most popular video formats like MOV, MPEG, MP4, M4V, 3GP, AVI and more. The best part is that PicGIF allows you to use multiple file types in the same project. However, note that PicGIF can work with up to 300 images at the same time.
To get started, adjust the canvas size, change the images orientation (landscape or portrait), set up use canvas fill mode and the background color. Moreover, you can adjust the frame delay and the slides sequence.
PicGIF also enables you to add captions to your slides and you get to quickly customize the writing by changing the font style, size, alignment, outline or shadow. To check if everything is running smoothly, PicGIF comes with a built in preview option. This way you can make the necessary adjustments on the spot.
If you are satisfied with the result, you can export your project to a GIF document or share it by email or through iMessage (in this case the GIF file will be automatically exported and sent to the respective applications).
To conclude, PicGIF is a great tools if you need to generate GIF images, but keep in mind that you can process only 300 images at the same time and that the app does not include batch management options.
