The Sharpener Pro application is integrated in the Nik Collection developed by Google, which means that you cannot install or purchase the utility separately. To use the tool, you must download, install, and purchase the entire Nik Collection.

However, the Nik Collection software package comes with both installer and uninstaller tools, so all you have to do is follow the on screen instructions. The Sharpener Pro elements (Raw Presharpening and Output Sharpening) will be included in the Nik Collection folder created in the Applications directory.

Via the Sharpener Pro Raw Presharpening main window you have the possibility to quickly access all the available sharpening tools: you can adjust the image quality, the adaptive sharpening level, or choose to sharpen either areas or edges.

The same panel offers you the option to create multiple control points, and enables you to modify the color ranges. On the other hand, the Sharpener Pro Output Sharpening utility is designed to help you optimize the output for printing: you can apply different profiles if your printing device is inkjet, continuous tone, halftone, or hybrid.
