Mosamic for Mac
Mosamic is a straightforward Mac OS X application specially made to help you create custom photomosaics using your own image library.
Create outstanding photomosaics using your pictures
A photographic mosaic, photomosaic or portmanteau of photo and mosaic, is a picture divided into multiple rectangular sections, each of which is replaced by random photographs that match the original picture.
With Mosamic’s help you have the power to create photomosaics using any collection of pictures in just a couple of minutes. From Mosamic’s main window you can easily access your Tiles library and add or remove photos with ease.
Use your own photo collection or pictures from Flickr
Hence, Mosamic allows you to set any given folder as your source of photographs or add images directly from Flicker. Via the Flickr Import window you can add up to 1000 images and filter the grabbed pictures using various keywords.
Once your Tiles library is ready, you can start creating a new mosaic following the instructions provided by the built-in wizard. In the first step you’ll have to select your primary photo by browsing to its location on the hard drive.
Generate color or picture mosaics with ease
Mosamic offers you the option to choose between a photo and a color mosaic. As expected, the photo mosaic uses the given pictures to fill the original image while the color mosaic creates your mosaic using pixelated color tiles.
Moreover, Mosamic allows you to adjust the number of used tiles and provides advanced options for more experienced users. Consequently, you can adjust the blending level between images, change the distance between two identical tiles and more.
Mosamic comes with support for JPG and PNG file formats and is capable to export the generate image to a JPG file that you can share with your friends and family.
