Metadata Wrangler is an “export filter” Adobe Lightroom plugin which enables you to strip selected metadata components from images as they are exported.
Metadata Wrangler can be used, for example, to remove the embedded thumbnail and any Lightroom “develop” metadata, while retaining other metadata, such as the exposure settings, copyright, lens information, and more.
Metadata Wrangler has been successfully tested with Lightroom 4, Lightroom 3, and Lightroom 2. (Though for Lightroom 3, you must have at least version 3.5)
Detailed instructions on how to install Metadata Wrangler are available HERE.
Metadata Wrangler is cross-platform and it works on Mac OS X, and Windows.
