A reliable, Java based application that was developed in order for you to easily view and edit the contents of OpenStreetMap (OSM) files. #Openstreetmap editor #Osm editor #Edit openstreetmap #Map #GPX #Edit
JOSM (short for Java OpenStreetMap Editor) currently supports loading GPX tracks and GPX track data from the OSM database, as well as editing and loading existing nodes, metadata tags, ways, and relations from the OSM database.
OpenStreetMap includes a database which is separate from the main map data, especially for sharing raw GPS data.
Users can easily download any available raw GPS data which others have contributed in the area you are looking at.
JOSM is a highly popular GPX editing utility despite coming with an objectively steep learning curve because of its support for extension using plugins, and due to its proven stability.
