Mosaik For Mac

Mosaik is a simple and streamlined OS X utility designed to help you generate your own custom photo mosaics using images from your Mac’s hard drive. Moreover, in order to generate a photo mosaic with the Mosaik app, you will have to choose a source image that will be used to model the final output collage.

Next, you need to select an image folder on your hard drive that will be used as a source of materials which will be added and mixed for generating your mosaic.

As an added bonus, Mosaik allows you to save any materials collection as a material bank via its contextual menu. Thus, when you need to use the same picture collection to generate another photo mosaic, you can simply load the already saved material bank instead of loading the entire image folder all over again.

From the top toolbar, Mosaik will help you choose the number of rows and columns to use when blending the materials together.

When exporting your mosaics, the Mosaik utility allow you choose the output image’s exact dimensions and you can choose any value up to 15000 x 15000 pixels. In the Export dialog, you can also enable the “Constraint proportions” option which will make sure that the image dimensions you choose comply with the source image’s aspect ratio.

What’s more, when saving your photo mosaic you will be able to export it to a PNG, JPG or BMP image file and, if you need to, even as a CSV file.

Mosaik is a really easy to use and quite user-friendly tool for generating your own photo mosaics using any picture collection you may have on your Mac.
