MakeRectangleAI is a free and simple to use script for Adobe Illustrator that will help one to quickly and easily create rectangles around any chosen objects (artboard or selection).
Installation: Open a Finder window, go to /Applications/Adobe Illustrator CS/Presets/en_US/Scripts and copy the MakeRectangleAI script inside that folder. You can also use the ⌘+F12 hotkey, which will allow you to select the script you want to run (this can be useful if you want to execute a script only once).
NOTE: Scripts added to the Scripts folder while Illustrator is running will not appear in the Scripts menu until the next time you launch Illustrator.
