Well organized image cataloguer featuring a streamlined workflowLightTable is a project based application, which means that you must start by creating a new project, and importing the images you want to use in your storytelling. The application can work with some of the most popular image formats, and adds all the files to the Tray.
Note that LightTable offers you the possibility to browse all the photos in the collection in slideshow mode, which automatically switches to full screen. At the same time, you can choose to see the images index, which proves to be very useful when dealing with large collections.
The next step is to drag and drop the pictures to the canvas area and resize, reposition, or align them any way you like. In addition, LightTable comes with a large collection of image effects that can be applied to your photos in no time, and help you give an original look to your project.
Straightforward solution for creating personalized image collagesLightTable offers you the possibility to effortlessly create image collages via intuitive drag and drop actions, while also packing high quality image effects that can produce professional looking results in no time.
However, LightTable packs functions that are not self evident, attached to buttons that do not have tooltips: the result is that you must start experimenting on your own. The app comes with a Help document that presents its capabilities, but the instructions are not very clear in all cases.
All in all, LightTable is a nice tool to have around if you ant to create image collages without being constrained by layout templates, or other graphical elements.
