Kromatik for Mac
Kromatik is a free and easy-to-use Mac OS X application which enables you to quickly create color sets and export them into your development projects as HTML and Android Color XML documents.
The application is targeted especially towards OS X, iOS, Windows and Android developers as well as web designers who want to optimize their color set management. Kromatik makes it easy to define colors based on RGB and HSB values, then export the color set.
As soon as you launch Kromatik, you are prompted to open a color set project (a .kmk file created with Kromatik) or an existing Android XML color document. If you choose to create a new document, the main window of the app (without any predefined colors) will be displayed.
To create a new color, simply click the Plus sign. Moreover, you are allowed to specify the color’s name and the RGB values (0-10, 0-255 and 00-FF of Red, Green and Blue) and configure the HSB values (0-10, 0-255 and 00-FF of the hue, saturation and brightness).
After you configure the RGB and HSB values, the HTML and RGB codes are displayed. What’s more, the colors can be previewed in realtime, meaning that, as soon as you make a change to the numbers, the updated color is displayed on the left side of the main window.
As mentioned before, Kromatik is capable of exporting your color set projects into 2 different formats: Android XML and HTML. In addition to this, you can click on a color and copy its values to the clipboard, so you can use it in Xcode, for example.
All in all, the Kromatik is a simple, intuitive and quite flexible OS X application for both graphic designers and developers that need a tool to easily manage color sets. Kromatik is a breeze to use and can create extensive color sets.
