HotShots For Mac

HotShots is a fully-featured application specially designed to help you grab your Mac’s screen, edit and upload the screenshot to a image sharing website of your choice.

Thanks to HotShots you can write documentations, highlight certain areas or details in your screenshots and share the generated image files with your friends or co-workers with just a few mouse clicks.

HotShots features a user-oriented interface from which you can easily set the output path, choose the desired capture mode and add snapshot delay time. You can also configure HotShots to perform an action after a snapshot has been taken. By accessing HotShots’ status bar menu, you can open the built-in editor and select between “Grab Screen”, “Grab all screens”, “Grab Window”, “Grab Region” and the “Grab freehand region” with just a few keystrokes.

HotShots’ Snapshot editor window helps you zoom in or out the screenshot, add text boxes, draw shapes, lines, boxes, circles, arrows and more. What is more, you can highlight text or image areas, increase or decrease the font, blur or obfuscate part of the screenshot and set the default background and foreground colors. The Snapshot editor also offers access to previously used background and foreground colors and helps you select the desired line and filling style.

The Preferences window helps you configure HotShots to automatically copy the new snapshot to clipboard, insert the date and time in the file name, play a sound when a task is completed. You can choose the desired file format, add post effects, rotate the snapshot to the desired angle and scale all your screenshots. On top of that, you can use your Mac OS X’s default keyboard shortcuts to take snapshots and control the application.
