FotoFusion For Mac

FotoFusion is an application that makes it easy for you to build elegant digital photo albums, collages and scrapbooks using the digital image files stored on your Mac’s hard-drive.

First things first, it must be said that the version of FotoFusion for the Mac is in fact a Windows application ported to OS X as a wine-based wrapper for the Windows executable, and, as a result, it makes the app feel quite buggy and hard to get along with.

To start using FotoFusion, you can either drag and drop picture into the app’s main window, or select a folder with images from any location on your Mac's hard-drive and the app will scan it and load them into its workspace.

Once the pictures are loaded, you can edit and arrange them in a wide variety of ways, use different image blending modes, clear blurry photos using the app’s “Unsharp Mask” mode, introduce image borders with support for various shapes, and also create a wide variety of text layouts.

Another plus is the fact that FotoFusion enables you to share the created albums, collages and scrapbooks, over the Internet, on famous social networks such as Facebook and Twitter.

What’s more, FotoFusion can also save your project in web album format so that it can be viewed using web browsers on a large assortment of devices such as iPads, iPhones, Android devices, or desktop based platforms.

FotoFusion also offers you the possibility to export your photo albums and collages in PSD for further editing using image layers, and also to render PDF document files so that you can view them later at any resolution with the text remaining as sharp as it was in the original file.

FotoFusion is an interesting alternative if you want an application that provides a good environment for building photo albums, collages, and scrapbooks.

We would have surely liked using FotoFusion more if it were a native OS X app because, unfortunately, as it is now, it provides an alien interface for most Mac users.

We hope that in the near future, the LumaPix development team will overcome this problem, because FotoFusion shows potential for becoming an even more powerful solution for creating digital albums and collages on a Mac.
