Filtromatic for Mac
Filtromatic is a straightforward and easy-to-use Mac OS X application that enables you to apply a variety of image filters to your photos and upload them to several social networks. The app comes with a simple user interface an some preprocessing settings as well.
When opening Filtromatic for the first time, the initial window enables you to open the image you want to process, to give feedback or rate the app in the Mac App Store. If you want, you can choose to disable this window in the future.
Furthermore, a disadvantage is that Filtromatic can process only one image a time. On the other hand, once you select the image to be edited, it will open in an elegant and minimalist window where you can access the filters and preprocess settings from a right pane and preview the changes in realtime from the central area.
The multiple filters are similar to those of Instagram and will make your images look great. Some of the effects include flares, leak, instant, earl, legacy, chocolate, San Francisco and more. As for the preprocessing settings, they include adjusting the clarity, saturation, exposure, contrast and brightness.
The window (and consequently the image) can be easily resized by dragging and dropping the edges or corners and even opened in full-screen mode. What’s more, you can use basic options such as grid cropping, rotating and sharing on Facebook, VK, Mail, Messages or AirDrop.
To summarize, Filtromatic is not the most versatile photo filtering app on the market, but it is surely not the worst, either. The filters and preprocessing effects are scarce, but they might give your photos the look they need to grab the attention of your Facebook friends.
