Image filters are able to bring the best out of the dullest photos: Face Makeover Pro is a straightforward image processor that includes a collection of simple image effects that can be applied to your own photos in no time.

Working with Face Makeover Pro is not hard due to the uncomplicated user interface: most of the app’s functions can be accessed via the main window. To get started, simply press the “Open” button and select the photo you want to process (TIFF, JPEG and PNG supported).

Face Makeover Pro will then separate the main window in two areas: on the left side you can view the source image and the available customization options, while on the right you can preview the results.

Face Makeover Pro comes with four different image filters: Makeover, Monet, Blueprint or Ink. For the Makeover filter you can adjust the style (normal, bright or toon), the detail level (less, average or more), the fuzziness level (tight, normal or diffuse) or toggle the edge effect.

The other three filters do not include filter style options, but come with their own alterations options. In Blueprint mode you can modify the blueprint and the intensity level, while the Ink filter allows you to decide which colors you want to use.

To help you analyze both the source image and the output results, Face Makeover Pro enables you to zoom and pan your images. The app also includes a crop function but it does not seem to work properly.

Face Makeover Pro is a minimalist application that enables you to apply different filters to your images in order to give them a softer look, a cartoonish style, the effect of a Monet painting, to translate them to a blueprint or convert them to ink drawings.

Keep in mind that the number or available filters is not very large and that the attached adjustments are not very precise. However, you can try the Face Makeover EZ version to check if it suits your needs (only the Makeover filter is enabled).
