EasyCrop For Mac

Due to the high resources usage and the complicated workflow, complex image processing suites are not the best solution when you need to quickly crop or resize photos for easy sharing. EasyCrop is a small Mac app designed to help you perform the task in no time.

EasyCrop is using very few system resources: on a 2GHz Intel Core Duo with 6GB RAM, it took up around 6% of the CPU on launch, and up to 30% CPU when cropping an image. At the same time it commanded up to 25MB or RAM.

As a result, working with EasyCrop is extremely fast: the app launches almost instantly, and all of its capabilities can be accessed via the main window. To get started, you must import an image by dropping it on top of the EasyCrop main window, or you can capture a screen area (the utility enables you to grab sections, windows, or the entire screen, but also provides support for timed captures).

Right off the bat, EasyCrop enables you to preview the original image and provides details about its size. The app allows you to rotate the picture or set up size constraints for the cropping. The same area allows you to crop the picture by making a selection with your mouse.

Within the app’s main window, you can also preview the result and further customize it: you can adjust the photo size by using a slider bar, you get to sharpen the image, to change the output file name, the file format (JPEG, PNG, TIFF, or GIF), and the image quality. Last but not least, EasyCrop allows you to specify a maximum file size for the resulting image.

EasyCrop offers you the possibility to perform basic image processing tasks in a minimalist and very well organized environment. Finding your way around the application is extremely easy, and the low resources usage helps you complete various tasks in no time.
