DipTrace for Mac
DipTrace is a comprehensive EDA application that delivers numerous tools, features, as well as an expandable component library that enables you to design, render in 3D and export a wide variety of electronic systems such as printed circuit boards and integrated circuits.
All above mentioned tools and features along with numerous components are brought together in a design flow that enables chip designers to create, design and analyze complex schematic diagrams and printed circuit boards.
Gain access to four powerful modules from within a fully-featured EDA
DipTrace comes with 4 different modules as follows: the Schematic Capture, a design tools with support for multi-sheet and multi-level hierarchical schematics, the PCB layout, an advanced engineering tools for board design, followed by Library Creation, a handy module that helps you create and import new components to your libraries.
3D Modeling is the last module that enables you to render your boards and generate a 3D preview of your work, that you can export and share.
Take advantage of the support for a wide variety file formats
The first module, Schematic Capture offers numerous tools for visual and logical pin connections while the cross-modules management function helps you convert your principal circuits to PCB and import from or export to other EDA, CAD and net-list formats.
PCB Layout features smart manual routing, state of the art verification, shape-based auto-router and extensive import and export capabilities. Your designed requirements can be defined by net classes, class-to-class rules and detailed settings by object types for every layer or class.
Thanks to the real-time DRC, you can access error reports on the fly while the design Rule Check with in-depth detailing, Net connectivity verification and comparing to source schematic ensure the high quality of the output product.
Browse through a comprehensive components and patterns library and add your own custom items
The built-in standard library set comes with over 120000 components and more than 10700 patterns. Moreover, you have the option to design your own components by using the customizable templates and with the help of bulk pin naming, bus management instruments, pad renumbering and other functions which will improve your workflow.
DipTrace’s built-in 3D rendering engine makes it easy for you to showcase your model of manufactured printed circuit board with all components installed. The board can be rotated on three axes, zoomed in an out and sectioned in real time. On top of that, you can export your board to STEP or VRML formats for mechanical CAD modeling with third-party apps.
On the bad side, DipTrace's design seems outdated and borrows most of its interface components form the Windows version. However, the targeted users are more likely to be interested in the functionality of the application rather than its looks.
