Autodesk Pixlr for Mac
Editing photos and adding various effects is of course a very common practice, but it can become a tedious tasks without the proper tools. Autodesk Pixlr is a simple yet powerful Mac app, that seamlessly integrates with your system, and allows you to perform basic photo processing jobs.
User friendly photo editor featuring a streamlined design
Due to its well organized user interface, finding your way around the Autodesk Pixlr app is quite intuitive: the main area is reserved for the canvas, while most tools are included in bottom and left side toolbars.
From the bottom area of the main window you get to zoom in and out the images, you can visualize the photo metadata, share your project on social media, or login to your Autodesk Pixlr account. Note that you can also register for a free account and receive additional tools and effects, but you will need to sign up for a Pro subscription to have access to all Autodesk Pixlr has to offer.
Powerful image processing tools that can be accessed with minimal effort
The Autodesk Pixlr photo processing tools are placed in an unobtrusive sidebar, and are kept organized by type: fast, refine, effect, overlay, border, stylize, stickers, and type. Some of them have self explanatory names, while others include tools that have a self explanatory purpose.
This way, with just a few mouse clicks, you have the option to crop or resize the image, to remove red eye effects, to adjust the color contrast, to blur or sharpen the photo, and so on. Naturally, each tool has its own Settings panel where you can adjust different aspects of the final effect.
Streamlined photo processing solution that packs a collection of beautiful effects
Autodesk Pixlr includes basic image processing capabilities, but also makes your work easier by allowing you to access the built in collection of background images, clipart objects, borders, and other type of effects. Once you are satisfied with the results, you can share the project on social media, or save it to the disk as a JPEG, BMP, PNG, or TIFF image file.
