You can try Aquarium Live lite for free before buying Aquarium Live HD for $2.99 from the Mac App Store. The installation process of both versions is pretty straightforward and can be completed in a couple of minutes depending on the speed of your Internet connection.
Aquarium Live HD is an unobtrusive application that lives in your Mac’s status bar from which you can quickly and easily access its menu. From here you can start the screensaver, enable the “Start At Logon” option and open the Preferences window.
Aquarium Live HD comes with four absorbing high definition videos which feature a wide variety of exotic fish such as Blue Tang, Clownfish, sharks and many more multicolored fish. All videos can be run in full screen or window mode and can be used as screensaver for your Mac’s display.
Thanks to Aquarium Live HD you can enjoy relaxing HD footage with numerous fish swimming in a beautiful decorated aquarium. The 720p resolution of the videos is optimal for 11, 13, 15 and 17 inch screens.
To choose one of the available videos you have to open the Preferences window from which you also can select a background sound or music and adjust the volume with just a few mouse clicks. The Screensaver tab helps you set the screen saver timer and enable or disable options such as the “Hide icon in dock” and “Disable menubar icon” while the Clock tab allows you to select the desired clock style.
